Una credenza giapponese narra che in tempi di epidemie e contagi dal mare emerge uno Yokai, entità mitologica dai poteri sovrannaturali. Il nome di questa creatura è Amabie: ha la faccia di uccello, lunghi capelli e tre code di sirena. Secondo questa leggenda, se si mostra il suo ritratto la piaga finirà e l'Amabie tornerà negli abissi marini. Ma è necessario che a disegnarla siano in tanti, solo così la malattia può essere sconfitta.
Abbiamo pensato di rilanciare questo piccolo rituale tra artistico, l'apotropaico, e il giocoso!

Con tutte queste opere, quando l'emergenza sarà finita, sarebbe bello farci qualcosa: una mostra, una pubblicazione, stampe...
Anche per trasformare un gioco taumaturgico in un aiuto concreto a chi ancora ne avrà bisogno.
